A person reads every message
The fastest way to reach us is email: operations@baltobuild.com. We aim to reply within two business days. If you are writing about a charge or a purchase that did not arrive, say so in the subject line and we will look at it first.
1. Credits
Every post, reply and thread Balto generates costs credits. Your plan includes a monthly allowance, and you can top up at any time with a credit pack — 50, 150 or 400 credits. Packs do not expire and are used only after your monthly allowance runs out.
If a generation fails, the credits are not taken. If you believe you were charged for something you did not receive, email us with the approximate time and we will check the ledger and refund the credits.
2. Managing a subscription
Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed, because that is who takes the payment:
- 01Subscribed on iPhone or iPad. Apple handles the billing. Open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then choose Balto. You can change tier or cancel there. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf — Apple does not give us that control.
- 02Subscribed on the web. Open Settings in Balto and use the billing section, which opens the customer portal where you can change plan, update a card or cancel.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for.
3. Restoring a purchase
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open Settings and tap Restore purchases. Any subscription attached to your Apple Account is re-applied.
Credit packs are deliberately not part of this. They are consumable: the credits were written into your account balance when you bought them, and restoring cannot hand them out a second time. Your remaining balance follows your Balto account, not your device, so signing in is all that is needed to get it back.
4. Signing in
Forgotten your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen, or Settings if you are already signed in. We email a reset link. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check the spam folder before writing to us — that is where it usually is.
5. The news feed
Balto reads a curated set of RSS feeds across every topic you follow. On the free plan the feed refreshes every 120 minutes; on any paid plan it refreshes every 15 minutes.
A topic showing nothing usually means its sources have not published recently rather than that something is broken. If a topic stays empty for a day, tell us which one — sources do go offline, and we would rather hear about it than not.
6. Deleting your account
Open Settings, scroll to the danger zone and choose to delete your account. This is permanent and immediate: your personas, saved posts, drafts, voice samples and credit balance are removed and cannot be recovered by us or by you.
Deleting your Balto account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel that in the Settings app first, using the steps in section 2, or Apple will keep billing you.
7. Reporting a bug
Email operations@baltobuild.com with whatever you have. What helps most:
- 01What you were doing, and what happened instead.
- 02A screenshot. It is almost always faster than a description.
- 03Whether it was the app or the website, and roughly when.
8. Privacy and terms
What we collect and why is set out in the privacy policy. The rules covering your account and your content are in the terms of service. For a data export or a deletion request that you would rather we handled, email us.
